This course aims to promote and deepen knowledge regarding the recruitment process in Public Administration, particularly with regard to the application of Selection Methods.

The aim is for participants to be able to distinguish between the different methods available to them for recruitment in competitive procedures and to identify the specific characteristics of each of them in relation to the objectives and specific situations they have to deal with.
This training aims to:
- explore the selection methods appropriate to competitive procedures in public administration;
- understand the strategic management of human capital in public administration, including the methodology of management by competencies and job profiles;
- analyse the competitive selection procedure for filling job vacancies, centralised recruitment, recruitment reserves and the common competitive selection procedure, among others;
- detail selection methods and techniques, such as knowledge tests, CV assessment, psychological assessment, professional selection interviews, skills assessment interviews, specific training courses and other selection methods.


Target audience
This course is aimed at professionals in the field of human resources and/or those who are or will be part of competition juries, technicians with an interest and responsibilities in the execution of tasks within the scope of competition procedures, as well as others interested in the subject.


Training methodology
A 12-hour training course (including a 15-minute break), delivered remotely in synchronous mode (in real time), via the Zoom platform.
At the end of the training, there will be an opportunity for interaction between the trainer and participants. Before the training, instructions on how to participate will be sent out – it is very simple and intuitive, requiring only a computer with internet access and an updated browser.
Supporting bibliographic materials will be made available on the Moodle platform, which will be available for 15 days.

The course will be held with a minimum of 12 participants.
At the end of the training, a certificate of attendance will be sent.

Bio note

Inês Nogueira Rebelo | Legal Adviser to the Superior Council of Administrative and Tax Courts. Graduate in Law, Postgraduate in Administrative Justice and Postgraduate in Public Procurement Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra; Master's Degree in Law from the Law School of the University of Minho; PhD candidate in Law at the Faculty of Legal and Labour Sciences of the University of Vigo. A lawyer in public administration for over 10 years, she was responsible for Legal Services, Chair of the Jury in several competitive procedures, and has extensive experience as a consultant in the area of Human Resources and Administrative Law in public administration.
